Crisp Shutters is the shutter side of Crisp Windows — one of Ipswich and Suffolk's highest-rated window and door installers, and a family business that's been putting things into window openings across this county for over thirty years.
In that time we've fitted thousands of windows, doors and conservatories across Ipswich, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Stowmarket and the villages in between, and built a 4.9★ Google reputation doing it. Not through sales patter — through turning up when we said we would, measuring properly, and finishing the job to a standard we'd accept in our own homes.

Our customers kept asking. So we said yes.
For years, customers who'd just had new windows fitted would ask the same thing: "can you do shutters for these too?" It kept happening. New bay window, beautiful frames — and then a set of blinds that didn't do them justice.
So we built a dedicated shutter team rather than bolting it on as an afterthought. And it turns out the two trades fall together remarkably well. Shutters live or die on the same three things windows do: an accurate survey of an opening that's never quite square, a well-made product from a manufacturer you trust, and a careful, patient finish where the frame meets the wall.
We already template out-of-square Victorian bays, arched heads and awkward reveals every week of the year. We already know which Ipswich streets have 1930s squared bays and which Woodbridge cottages have nothing straight in them. That knowledge transfers directly — which is why our shutters go in cleanly first time, with proper scribed fillers rather than a bead of caulk hiding a gap.

Every opening measured at multiple points, every bay templated at the mullion. Out-of-square is normal in Suffolk housing — we design for it rather than discover it on fitting day.
We fit with our own team
The same installers, employed by us, who fit our windows. Nothing is subcontracted to a stranger with a van, and the person who measured oversees the fit.
We finish, then we come back
Scribed fillers, clean silicone lines, panels balanced and louvres tensioned. If anything needs adjusting after a few weeks of use, we return and sort it.
