Endura wraps a light paulownia hardwood core in a fully sealed ABS skin. That makes it genuinely waterproof — safe to fit directly above baths, in showers, over kitchen sinks, and in coastal homes where salt air destroys ordinary painted shutters.

- Can these really go above a bath or in a shower?
- Yes. The paulownia core is fully wrapped in sealed ABS, so there's no exposed timber to swell or rot. It's the only range we'll fit in a wet room.
- How long will I wait?
- Endura is made in Romania, so lead times are short — usually around 2–3 weeks from order rather than the two months a lot of shutters take.
- Will steam or scratches mark them?
- The ABS skin is waterproof and scratch-resistant, and wipes clean with a damp cloth — ideal over a kitchen sink or hob-side window.
- Will the colour fade on a sunny window?
- No. The finish is UV-resistant, which is why we also specify it for coastal homes in Felixstowe and Aldeburgh.
- Can they go on patio or French doors?
- Yes — including inward-opening windows and French or patio doors, with cut-outs around handles.
